Don't Wait to Get the Help You Need

Colleen Bergren, LMHC

Counseling allows for a healthy space to process, discover, grow, and even reinvent the way we encounter everyday barriers.
The feeling of hopelessness and shame can often weigh down the ability to complete day to day tasks. Taking the steps towards counseling can be scary and feel intrusive. However, there are ways to achieve a new perspective and approach to the everyday tasks or interactions which now feel overwhelming. And now is your time to get the support you deserve in that approach. You may be feeling like you are overwhelmed and just don’t know where to turn. Or maybe your current support has not been all you have needed and you are looking for new ways and new skills to learn to cope and navigate the hardships over everyday life.
I look to help clients identify, motivate, and generalize new tools that match to their comfort level. In the ability to partner with my clients, I look to support the identification of achievable and tangible goals. The capitalization of your ability to cope with emotional distress and explore the processes independently is what I encourage. I am licensed in Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in family counseling, crisis counseling, and life transition counseling.
I am a licensed Mental Health Clinician in New York. I specialize in working with crisis clients who are adults as well as children, pre-teens and adolescents. I provide support through Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, and Kingston, Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster Counties, and throughout New York State.
