Don't Wait to Get the Help You Need

Sharon Young, MA, MPA, LCMHC-A

Counseling is a helpful way to reflect on the things in our lives that we ignored,  are challenged with or just simply want to address. It’s a place to figure out where to reset and decide what we want to do with things. It’s a important because facing things alone can be tough as well as challenging and sometimes we just need to get things out. Therapy allows people to begin to think about the changes they want to see and decide when and how they can make these changes.

You came here because you are seeking an honest conversation. You are someone who wants to know that the person they are sharing with is real and has also experienced real life issues. You may be feeling the need to connect with a clinician who has also experienced life and need a guide to understand that in some moment, you will move through the challenges you have been facing. I am here to give you the space to have a real conversation and work with someone who is relatable and you can feel comfortable with even if you are not comfortable with yourself.

Therapy with me is open and you to speak your truth. It’s a space of non-judgement and criticism. Why and how? Because we are not perfect people and we all make mistakes. We will have those “real” conversations, explore, and hash it out. Let’s be real and not talk about what you think I want to hear but what you want to share.
