Shay Adams, LPC

Life brings many transitions that can be unsettling. From career changes to children leaving home, I will be there during the difficult adjustments to help redefine purpose and identity. With empathy, we can reframe these shifts as opportunities for growth.

My goal is for you to feel truly seen, provide you with judgment-free support, impart coping skills, and empower you to make sustainable changes that improve wellbeing. If you’re seeking a collaborative guide through life’s difficulties, I am here to listen and help lighten the burden.

Loss and grief have profound impacts on our lives. This often happens throughout stages of life. Through compassionate listening and exploring coping techniques tailored to your unique grieving process, I can help you find meaning, balance and gradual healing after a loss.

The teenage and young adult years can be an emotional rollercoaster filled with exciting firsts but also anxiety, pressure, and self-doubt. I specialize in helping teenage girls navigate the unique social, family, and internal challenges you face. I create a safe, confidential space for you to openly share what’s on your heart without fear of being judged. My goal is to equip you with the insights, coping strategies, assertiveness training and self-care tools so you can build healthy relationships, practice self-kindness, and harness your inner wisdom and resilience. I’ve been there and know the turbulence you’re going through – let’s walk through it together, embrace this season of change with compassion, help you find your inner compass, and set you on the path to flourishing. Please know, you don’t have to figure this all out alone.

I am a licensed therapist in Georgia and Mississippi. I specialize in working with adolescent females navigating  through grief, relationships, stress, and depression. As a telehealth therapist I am able to work with clients in Fulton County, Mitchell County, Putnam County, Lamar County, Carroll County, and Webster County.
